There are no costs associated with participation, and victims do not run any financial risk by participating. Only in the event that the court awards you and other victims compensation will a portion of the amount awarded be retained to cover the costs of the lawsuit, including the litigation financier's success fee (see above, “How are SDBN's activities financed?”).
